I have used this mount with my Cuddeback Excite and it works very well. I agree that it is a bit flimsy for any of the older heavier cameras (especially those with the 6V batteries) but it works great for my application. The one improvement I would like to see is more side to side adjustments.

Purchased two of these camera supports hoping they would help alleviate the pain of mounting two of my Moultrie Cams; the camera supports are really too flimsy for these big cameras and the straps just barely go around the camera box. I guess they work fine for a slim Cuddeback, but not a bigger camera.
